I’ve known Brenda’s producer husband, Philip Janz (Brian Doerksen, Kathryn Scott) for many years, so when he told me his wife had recorded a CD (which he had produced), I was intrigued. Late one night I popped the disc in whilst doing some accounting and was stopped in my mental tracks by the truly extraordinary music coming out of my speakers. This is a meticulously written, sung and produced album, but that’s not why I love it. I love it because, to use an often misused word that actually applies here, it ministers to me. It comforts me and nudges me towards healing. It’s beautiful.
