I’ve met Cheri’s Uncle Phil more times than I’ve met Cheri, but that hasn’t kept me from becoming a fan of her literate writing and rich, velvet voice. Usually I get worried when I hear music being called “smooth”, but Cheri’s music is smooth in the best possible sense. Think smooth as in the undisturbed surface of a deep, crystalline lake, or as in a cool hand smoothing the lines of a furrowed brow. Next time you’ve got some crinkles, listen to Cheri’s tunes for a bit and see if they don’t smooth you out.
